Online air charter business exchange CharterX is to introduce in January a new vetting service that gives a "full resume" of the safety of charter operators at potential booking stage.
CharterX, which took over Wyvern five months ago, will enable those evaluating available charter flights to list their requirements and choose from those operators that pass their individual "test."
Requirements might include stipulating a modern fleet, perfect safety record, comprehensive staff training programmes, in addition to the customary aircraft and availability checks.
"People are more safety conscious today and want full details of the aircraft and operator before booking," says president Jim Betylon.
