BAN's World Gazetteer
CanadaTAM Aviacao Executiva has just become the first company in Brazil to obtain Stage II of the international IS-BAH certification, which encompasses a set of global industry best practices and exists to increase the safety and efficiency of business aviation ground operators. This achievement attests that the company follows the best practices for domestic and international airport service.
Stage II came less than two years after TAM AE obtained Stage I in May 2022, demonstrating the company's commitment to improving its services and procedures and, above all, its commitment to quality and operational safety.
TAM prepared for months to reach IS-BAH Stage II, and submitted to a major audit. Its employees underwent rigorous training and all procedures adopted were formalised in manuals and audited.
"This new stage of IS-BAH certification is a very important achievement for us and brings us a great competitive advantage, not only in Brazil, but internationally. It attests to our commitment to offering our customers the best practices in airport service, following the highest quality and safety standards, concepts that are in TAM AE's DNA. In less than two years we have improved our entire operation, following the standards and processes defined in Stage I of the certification and now audited to Stage II; quite an achievement for the entire TAM Aviation Executiva team," says president Leonardo Fiuza.
Currently, the company is undergoing a major transformation with investments in all areas, especially in technology, training, processes and people. It recently opened a new VIP lounge at Sao Paulo's Congonhas airport; implemented a new enterprise resource planning system with the aim of optimising processes and offering even greater efficiency; inaugurated a new service centre in Goiânia and a new painting booth at its service centre in Jundiaí; and purchased new equipment for the operation. TAM will continue to make investments.
