Sun Air Jets IS-BAO Stage III extends through 2027
Since implementing IS-BAO standards, Sun Air Jets has welcomed biennial audits as opportunities to refine its practices, ensuring the highest standards of safety for clients and team members across southern California.
Sun Air Jets is known for providing seamless connections.

Southern California management and charter provider Sun Air Jets has renewed its IS-BAO Stage III audit certification, extending the company's safety distinction through 2027. With this milestone, Sun Air Jets celebrates 15 years of IS-BAO certification, a status recently acknowledged at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas.

As one of only a few private jet operators in California to uphold this rigorous certification, Sun Air Jets distinguishes itself with a commitment to safety and excellence in operations. The IS-BAO Stage III status complements an impressive array of accolades, including ARGUS Platinum Elite, Wyvern Wingman PRO and the Air Charter Safety Foundation's IAS certification, achievements shared by a select group of aviation leaders nationwide.

The IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations), developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), is a voluntary global standard for business aviation safety. The Stage III certification, IS-BAO's highest level, is granted only when safety management is deeply integrated across all company practices, signifying a sustained, positive safety culture.

Sun Air Jets had to: demonstrate that the IS-BAO standard is fully absorbed and reflected in its culture; embrace a ‘just culture’ that encourages all safety and risk issues to be brought forward for resolution; maintain a continuous discussion about safety and performance; and use and share both human-reported and automated safety data.

Sun Air Jets' dedication to safety is embedded in every aspect of our operation,” states James Evans, director of safety. “Since implementing IS-BAO standards, we have welcomed biennial audits as opportunities to refine our practices, ensuring the highest standards of safety for our clients and team.”

Sun Air Jets has bases at Van Nuys and Camarillo.
