California-based aircraft management and charter company Mira Vista Aviation has become an ARGUS International Platinum Elite operator.
“Mira Vista Aviation is a premier operator of large-cabin and ultra-long-range aircraft and has enjoyed a Platinum ARGUS rating for over 15 years,” says president Patrick Lindsey. “As an operator, saying to our clients that we put safety first is not good enough. Mira Vista spends significant resources to give its operations, flight crews and maintenance personnel the tools they need to meet and exceed the highest expectations of safety policy, assurance and culture in our industry. This has taken years of hard work to promote and foster the ideals that every member of our team needs to be intimately involved, taking ownership in our safety system. As the president and accountable executive, partnering with ARGUS in its rollout of the Platinum Elite programme made perfect sense; our safety system is dynamic and as such requires a more constant, introspective approach in auditing. We look forward to the continued relationship with ARGUS and working alongside the experienced and knowledgeable staff in the pursuit of safety.”
The Platinum Elite rating requires operators to meet the ARGUS Platinum standards set forth for an operator to become Platinum rated. Once Platinum rated, an operator can request to become Platinum Elite rated, where they agree to be continuously monitored by the ARGUS team. The programme features real-time operational safety performance monitoring and timely visibility to significant operator changes. While traditional audit programmes require audits every two years, Platinum Elite offers continual evaluation.
“ARGUS welcomes Mira Vista Aviation as our latest Platinum Elite participant. It has a long history of consistently adhering to the Platinum standard, and we look forward to helping it maintain exceptionally high best practices through the Elite continuous monitoring programme,” says president Mike McCready.
Mira Vista Aviation was founded in 2016 after acquiring Macair, which has its roots dating back to 2007. It invests in the latest technology and training, ensuring both its aircraft and personnel meet rigorous safety and performance benchmarks. In addition to management, the company offers a 24/7 charter service, and also assists clients with aircraft acquisitions.
