Flexjet has secured its designation of Wyvern Wingman certified operator for its European operation following a successful audit in February 2022. The standard provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.
“We are very proud to receive the Wingman standard certification from Wyvern for our European operation," says executive vice president of flight operations in Europe Clive Richardson. "Having worked relentlessly to build Flexjet in Europe around a framework of excellence since we launched in 2019, this is very welcome recognition for our team and, along with our existing IS-BAO accreditation, an important demonstration of our focus on continuous operational and safety improvement.”
In Europe Flexjet offers shared ownership of its premium fleet that includes the Embraer Legacy 500 and Praetor 600. Internationally the fleet includes the Embraer Phenom 300, Legacy 450 and Praetor 500, Bombardier Challenger 350 and the Gulfstream G450 and G650.
Flexjet's European operation is compliant with the IS-BAO and is a Wyvern Wingman certified operator. In the US its fractional aircraft programme was the first in the world to be recognised as achieving the Air Charter Safety Foundation's Industry Audit Standard; is the first and only company to be honoured with 23 FAA Diamond Awards for Excellence; upholds an ARG/US Platinum safety rating; and is IS-BAO compliant at Stage II.
In Europe Flexjet holds a 4Air Silver sustainability rating. This includes offsetting 300 per cent of carbon emissions for every flight, with owners also able to commit to SAF or credits. It also invests in the Aviation Climate Fund (ACF) to support future flight research and development projects.
