FTC Group, an aircraft management, sales and charter provider operating under a San Marino AOC, has passed its IS-BAO Stage III audit, renewing its certification until 2024. This verifies that a positive culture of safety is integrated and supported in the daily operations of the company.

The IS-BAO standard was introduced in 2002, and reflects the best practices and expertise of aircraft operators around the world. The standard defines requirements for the qualification and training of aviation personnel, aircraft handling and maintenance, documentation and resource management, and environmental protection. The IS-BAO standard includes three stages of certification. The highest, Stage III, indicates that the SMS is fully implemented and operating effectively in the company; flight safety is consistently improved and each employee understands the importance of their role in safety and quality management.

The FTC Group has been certified by IBAC since 2011. This year the audit was carried out remotely, which did not affect its accuracy and thoroughness. The company started preparing for the audit in advance, once again ensuring compliance with industry standards and reviewing the specifics of the remote procedure.

The remote audit not only comprises a comprehensive examination of documentation but also a series of video conferences, online interviews, submission of photos and videos, the inspection of infrastructure, equipment and aircraft using online communication tools. The audit found no significant flaws. The recommendations of auditors were considered and promptly applied. Positive audit results provided the successful renewal of the IS-BAO Stage III certificate.

“Our team has worked very hard to maintain a high standard in business aviation. By renewing our IS-BAO Stage III we illustrate to our customers and vendors our sincerity in providing the highest level of safety in our operations while delivering industry-leading customer service,” says CEO Aleksandar Simic.
