Metrojet China manager elected to AsBAA board
Combining previous experience in government affairs with a hands-on role at Metrojet has equipped Michael Chen to make a difference at board level in AsBAA.
Michael Chen believes that AsBAA is a perfect example of private and public partnerships working together.

Hong Kong-based Metrojet's general manager for its Chinese air operator's certificate, Michael Chen, has been elected to the mainland China Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) board of governors for a two-year term commencing July 2019. In his AsBAA role, Michael will be responsible for enhancing the brand awareness of the association in the Chinese aviation industry and together with the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) assist on enhancing operational safety practices.

AsBAA, a non-profit organisation representing business and general aviation entities based in Asia, supports the advancement and development of the industry and provides a platform for stakeholders to communicate, identify and address key aviation issues in the region.

Chen, AsBAA's China board member says: “AsBAA is a perfect example of private and public partnerships working together, acting as a conduit between the business aviation industry and government policy makers. With my previous working experience in government affairs and my current role in within Metrojet, I am confident that I can assist in supporting the future development of the industry in China.”

Established in 1995, Metrojet pioneered business aviation services in Hong Kong, and provides aircraft management, maintenance and aviation consultancy services.
