Action Aviation is close to finalising "significant" new senior personnel appointments and agency appointments to support its responsibility for 66 sales terrorities for the SJ30.

Founder and chairman of Action Aviation and commercial pilot, Hamish Harding, said: "These will

be confirmed within the next two weeks."

Action Aviation has ordered 159 aircraft from Sino Swearingen by placing 159 non-refundable deposits - over half of the 300 production aircraft already sold to date by the manufacturer - to service its sales territory of Europe, the Middle East and Russia.

"The Russian and Middle East markets are especially buoyant and interest in the SJ30 is strong, probably because of the longer range flights often required from these regions," says Action Aviation sales director Mike Creed.

Action Aviation, supported by a technical and engineering team from the San Antonio, US-based manufacturer, will have a sizeable presence at Farnborough Air Show next month with an outside chalet (No. OE20) and an SJ30 will be showing on the static.

The SJ30 has a cruise speed of 486 kts, an IFR range of 2,500 nm (with NBAA IFR reserves) and a service ceiling of 49,000ft. It is certificated for single-pilot operations and has a total of seven seats.

The two rear executive seats recline to form a fully flat double bed for use during those longer sectors.
