MinnesotaThe Cirrus G2+ Vision Jet has successfully achieved Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) certification, confirming that Cirrus Aircraft adhere to stringent regulatory standards set by Transport Canada concerning aviation safety, performance and operational requirements. The SR Series G7 is also certified.
Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen says: “Pursuing TCCA certification for the newest Cirrus Aircraft models underscores our commitment to the Canadian market. This certification enables Canadian Cirrus Aircraft owners to take delivery of their new Canadian-registered aircraft, further solidifying our presence in the region.”
Cirrus has delivered nearly 600 Vision Jets globally and it has become the best-selling jet in general aviation. The G2+ features optimised engine performance for expanded mission capabilities, inflight wi-fi for a connected cabin experience and bold colourways for added ramp presence. The improved take off performance creates access to 40 per cent more airports and allows the operator to carry more with reassurance for take off in hot temperatures or high elevations. Cirrus recently added Auto Radar and Cirrus IQ to provide pilots with increased situational awareness and connectivity during all stages of pre-flight and inflight activities.
It offers a host of industry-leading technologies including autothrottle, Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), Safe Return Emergency Autoland and the Perspective Touch+ by Garmin flight deck. Additionally, the Vision Jet can use sustainable aviation fuel and is one of the quietest and lowest CO2 producers due to its innovative single-engine and V-tail design.
The Vision Jet is the proud recipient of the Robert J Collier Trophy for developing the world’s first single-engine Personal Jet and implementing CAPS on the aircraft. It was also a partnering recipient of a second for inclusion of Safe Return Autoland, powered by Garmin.
Cirrus is strengthening its presence in Canada by offering aircraft sales and expanding its network of authorised flight training and maintenance centres. To spearhead these initiatives, Ryan Isaac has been appointed as regional sales director for the Canadian territory.
