Italy-based operator Air Corporate has purchased a FFS Level B from entrol. The simulator, based on the AW139 model, will be installed in 2026 and is designed to deliver a comprehensive training solution that covers all mission profiles, from firefighting to offshore transport.

The FFS Level B simulator replicates the configuration of the AW139 used by Air Corporate, integrating a six-degree-of-freedom motion platform and a 200ºx70º spherical visual system with seven channels. It is equipped with a customised Envision database, which includes mission-specific environments for firefighting, search and rescue, emergency medical services and offshore operations, providing pilots with an immersive and realistic training environment.

“Our full flight simulator Level B sets a new benchmark in helicopter training. The precision and realism of this device ensure that Air Corporate’s pilots are equipped to operate in the most demanding environments,” says CEO and founder Luis Olarte. “This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering the highest quality training devices, enabling our clients to elevate their training programmes and ensure operational excellence.”

Air Corporate operates its own Approved Training Organisation (ATO), which prepares both its own pilots and external trainees. The company has been a long-term partner of entrol, operating two FTD Level 3 simulators, the H125 and H145. The new simulator will utilise the same mission-specific database as the previous devices, ensuring seamless integration across the existing training infrastructure.

“The AW139 is a complex and versatile aircraft, requiring advanced training solutions to maximise its operational capabilities. With this full flight simulator, we will be able to deliver comprehensive training, ensuring that all trained pilots are well-prepared for any scenario,” says a spokesperson for Air Corporate.

The project includes a four-year warranty and maintenance plan, along with a dedicated debriefing station that allows for detailed session reviews.
