Blackbushe unveils vision for airport
Over the last 30 years there has been little to no investment at Blackbushe. Now plans are in place to enhance the range of activities, improve current infrastructure and build hangars and other aviation facilities.
The vision for Blackbushe airport is a hub of aviation that accommodates and promotes a wide mix of aviation activities while celebrating its heritage.

The UK's Blackbushe Airport is excited to share its vision for the airport that it will start to deliver in 2025.

Blackbushe Airport's fortunes have varied over the years and it has adapted to changing priorities and needs. Since taking ownership in 2015, the new management has already modernised the airport, attracting new aircraft and investing in new infrastructure. The vision is to further develop an efficient aviation facility that services the needs of the range of aircraft that already use Blackbushe, from light pistons to long range business jets.

New facilities will include 150,000sq ft of hangarage; a modern terminal, passenger lounge and crew facilities; and a Destination Café, restaurant and event space.

The development will take a phased approach with the first phase delivery starting in autumn 2025.

Chairman Cameron Ogden says" “Over the last 30 years there has been little to no investment in the airport. We have plans for significant investment to enhance the range of activities at the airport, including improvements to current infrastructure alongside the construction of new hangars, a terminal and restaurant.”

A new £1.5 million ($1.9m) LED runway lighting system installation was completed summer 2024, confirming the commitment to develop Blackbushe with facilities befitting its customers.
