Volato vice president of operations Josh Newsteder has been appointed to the board of directors of the HondaJet Owners and Pilots Association (HJOPA). This significant appointment aligns with a shared vision of enhancing safety and transparency across the HondaJet community.

Newsteder, known for his extensive experience and commitment to aviation safety, began his 38 year career in aviation as a pilot in the US Navy where he honed his operational skills. He currently leads Volato's operational team as its vice president of operations, director of operations, and air operations security coordinator. He is a single typed captain and instructor pilot in the company's growing fleet of HondaJets. His vision for HJOPA focuses on elevating safety protocols, improving maintenance practices and fostering a culture of transparency and shared knowledge within the HondaJet community.
