BahamasParagon Aviation Group held its inaugural international Leadership Meeting at Lynden Pindling International airport in Nassau, Bahamas. Leadership Meetings consist of a comprehensive FBO on-site evaluation with constructive feedback, shared best practices, guest speakers, group dinners, breakout sessions and other networking opportunities for FBO general managers, owners and executives.
Over 18 FBO mid and upper-management attendees representing over 15 FBOs in the network participated in the three day event, which kicked off with a welcome reception hosted by Odyssey Aviation Bahamas.
"Odyssey Aviation Bahamas is our founding member and it was such a gracious host. The purpose of this meeting is for each member to gain more insight into their own FBO by building relationships and developing better practices," says PAG president Megan Barnes. "The more our members share with each other during these meetings, the stronger our network becomes and in turn helps improve everyone's operational, service and sales efforts."
Two awards were given out at the end of the event including an MVP Award, which is voted on by attendees based on who they believed provided the most value and input during the meeting. This year's winner was Bobby Courtney, vice president of aviation at Fontainebleau, Miami-Opa Locka Executive airport in Florida. Scott Cutshall, senior vice president at Clay Lacy Aviation, took home the Awesome Idea Award where attendees presented an idea to the group on a way to save money or increase revenue at their operation.
The event was sponsored by FlightBridge, GGT Worldwise, Harbor Six Advisors, JetSet Media, Odyssey Aviation Bahamas, Pilot John International, Private Jet Media, Stax and X-1FBO.
