Las Vegas-headquartered operator Thrive Aviation has secured its designation as a Wyvern Wingman certified operator. The Wyvern Wingman standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.
“Thrive Aviation is honoured to join the Wyvern Wingman certified operators. This achievement truly affirms our vision from day one; to excel in safety standards and provide superior experiences. This certification is a cemented promise to our clients that we can accommodate their needs worldwide, allowing them to put their utmost trust in our hands. We will maintain certification compliance in our daily flight operations and maintenance practices, consistently embodying its message: Safety is not just our responsibility; it is our main priority," says Rickey Oswald, senior vice president of operations.
Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.
“We commend Thrive Aviation for successfully achieving its Wingman certification, through its meticulous teamwork and participation in the Wyvern Flight Leader Program. It has demonstrated its full compliance with the Wingman Standard, which not only validates its safety management system for international compliance, but also verifies its conformance to the highest global standards and industry professional codes of practice in operations and aircraft maintenance,” says Andrew Day, Wyvern vice president, operations.
