Executive Fliteways (EFI) has acquired its neighbour ExcelAire Services, a significant milestone that involves full control of ExcelAire’s fleet of managed jets on its Part 135 charter certificate. These aircraft will eventually be transitioned to EFI’s certificate and bring to 20 the number of aircraft under management.

EFI has also acquired ExcelAire’s Part 145 repair station, a move that will enable it to grow its in-house maintenance capabilities exponentially and provide its managed aircraft owners with improved cost control and less down time due to maintenance.

To allow for this growth at its Long Island MacArthur airport location, EFI has committed to a long-term lease with Hawthorne Global Aviation Services, the former owner of ExcelAire, for its recently constructed 80,000 sq ft of hangar and offices,. Clients can look forward to using the Hawthorne Global FBO for departures and arrivals.

EFI president James Prinzivalli says: “We are delighted to welcome ExcelAire clients and employees to the EFI family. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our growth strategy and expands a wide range of options for our clientele. Together, we are poised to meet the evolving demand for private jet travel and elevate the experience.”
