Frey takes ASQS lead on Americas sales
To drive growth in the Americas and gain a foothold in the North American market in particular, the sales team has now been strengthened with Jonathan Frey.
Director sales Americas Jonathan Frey.

Vienna, Austria-based integrated aviation safety, quality and risk management software provider ASQS has appointed Jonathan Frey as director sales Americas.

With the opening of its subsidiary ASQS Safety and Quality Solutions in the Canadian aviation and technology hub of Calgary, the company launched its foray into the North American market in 2021. Besides developing IQSMS, an innovative and powerful solution that helps aviation companies of all types and sizes optimise their internal processes for increased compliance and operational safety, it places special emphasis on providing comprehensive and outstanding customer support.

For this reason, the opening of the Calgary office, in addition to the existing offices in Vienna and Bangkok, was strategically vitally important. This allows seamless customer support Monday through Friday for the company's global customer base. To drive growth in the Americas and gain a foothold in the North American market in particular, the sales team has now been strengthened with Jonathan Frey.

Frey brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent several years in sales, project and key account management. Most recently he served for two and a half years as director business development APAC, where he was responsible for the company's positioning and sales generation in the region, successfully leading ASQS' Bangkok office and team.

In his role as director sales Americas, he will be responsible for all sales activities in the Americas. He will identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development and implementation of regional sales programmes and strategies in close cooperation with the company's sales team and the ASQS office in Calgary. He will further work with its marketing department to drive regional marketing activities and be responsible for building strong distribution channels and strategic partnerships.

"Since its foundation in 2009, ASQS has grown to become a major global player in aviation safety, quality and risk management, with a strong customer base in Europe, APAC, Africa and the Middle East. This experience puts us in a fantastic position to compete in the Americas," says Frey. “I am looking forward to my new role as director sales Americas, which will give me the opportunity to continue to work with our amazing team to build on this foundation and further grow our product and service to leverage the opportunities that this tremendously large and promising market hold for us.”

"Jonathan's operational experience gained in previous positions in sales, key account management and business development, as well as his ambition and strong interpersonal skills are essential to this new position and will help drive our business objectives in the Americas," adds CEO Günther Schindl. "We are very excited to see his efforts expand to the Americas. Jonathan has a deep knowledge of our market, products, customers and partners, and the ability to transform that knowledge into actionable results.”
