Toronto, Canada-based international medical repatriation company Fox Flight Air Ambulance has been reaccredited by the European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI). The accreditation renewal followed an exhaustive audit and review process and applies to Fox Flight’s operations in the following categories: regional fixed wing air ambulance, long range/intercontinental fixed wing air ambulance, adult critical care and commercial escort services. This is the fourth time Fox Flight has been reaccredited by EURAMI; the company first achieved accreditation from the standards agency in 2009.
“After 25 years in the medical repatriation business, we take great pride in the systems and procedures we have put in place and the level of service we provide for our clients,” says president David Fox. “EURAMI is one of the most respected accreditation organisations in the aeromedical industry, so once again receiving its seal of approval for what we do to help sick and injured individuals get home safely is very gratifying.”
Based in Cologne, Germany, EURAMI provides accreditation for aeromedical transfer services operating throughout Europe and the world via both fixed wing and rotor aircraft. The goal of the organisation is to promote safe, ethical and quality healthcare and training practices by harmonising and generalising European and international standards in aeromedical services.
In order to achieve EURAMI accreditation, providers must undergo an extensive analysis of their procedures related to patient care, daily operations, flight and patient documentation, staff training and ongoing aircraft maintenance.
Fox Flight’s fleet of dedicated, fixed wing air ambulances consists of specially configured Lear 40XR and 45XR jets equipped with the latest in advanced intensive care medical technology.
