Jetcraft goes ape for Orlinski King Kong installation
Richard Orlinski's collaboration with Jetcraft features a King Kong sculpture holding aloft a Bombardier Global 7500. Jahid Fazal-Karim worked closely with the artist to realise his vision, and is delighted with the result.
Richard Orlinski wanted to explore the contrast between Kong, his primal instinct and showcasing the Global 7500 as a symbol of the new world and civilised society.

Jetcraft is celebrating a new partnership with French sculptor Richard Orlinski by unveiling a bespoke installation at the company's kiosk at the Nice business aviation terminal. Orlinski is a contemporary French pop artist who crafts colourful sculptures inspired by wild animals and is known for iconography such as skulls, King Kong and Superman. He has completed several customised collaborations including the trophy for the French Grand Prix, a watch for Hublot and designs for Lamborghini and Porsche. His collaboration with Jetcraft features a King Kong sculpture holding aloft a Bombardier Global 7500.

Jetcraft owner and chairman Jahid Fazal-Karim says: “We're really pleased to announce our collaboration with world-renowned artist Richard Orlinski. Richard and I both share a love for aviation, and we didn't hesitate when the opportunity arose for a joint collaboration. His sculpture is incredibly inspiring to me, encapsulating how we are still taking flight, even during these challenging times. He works with some of the same calibre of clients as Jetcraft and has an emphasis on providing a unique and exquisite take on all of his collaborations.”

Orlinksi adds: “Over the past few years my interest in aviation has grown, and I began looking into ways that I could incorporate my love for aviation into one of my pieces. I knew I wanted to include one of my favourite sculptures, King Kong, and began working with Jahid to bring this project to life. The collaboration gives centre stage to the wild Kong who is lifting the distinctive Global 7500, which pays tribute to the world of cinema and the silver screen classic. I wanted to explore the contrast between Kong, his primal instinct and showcasing the aircraft as a symbol of the new world and civilised society.”
