CaliforniaAeroplex/Aerolease Group, an aviation property development, management and consulting firm, is now offering hangar and facility disinfecting services to help combat the Coronavirus, in addition to ramping up infectious disease safety and protective guidelines at each of its own locations.
Safe and secure aviation facilities are crucial to the aviation industry. Each private aviation operation and service centre at an airport is a vital economic engine to the airport, city and the national airspace system. Aerolease is providing these services as a part of its mission to anticipate and deliver on customers' needs, and to support its clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We're pleased to offer these capabilities to protect our own based operations, guests and visitors, as well as to help keep front-line workers healthy and productive during the downturn in flight activity,” says company president and CEO Curt Castagna. “Times of crisis such as this are when you direct your focus to the well-being of others, keeping your company's mission and core values at the forefront.”
A typical aviation facility disinfecting process depends on the size of the building. However such services can be adapted around the needs of the specific operation, and the facilities can typically be returned within 30 minutes after disinfecting is completed. The components used in the process are approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and a typical treatment remains effective from seven to 14 days depending on the use of the areas. Disinfection services can be applied in office, lobbies, shop areas, hangars, equipment and other interior spaces.
Aeroplex/Aerolease Group has also trained its team members on disinfecting services at Aeroplex locations, beginning with its own in Long Beach, California (KLGB) and Van Nuys, California (KVNY). The company's proprietary process follows NATA guidelines for disinfection and uses approved products to disinfect facilities and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Meanwhile, Aeroplex Group Partners, the project management and consulting division of Aeroplex/Aerolease Group, has announced the groundbreaking of a new state of the art, hangar project at Dallas Love Field (DAL), featuring 38,750 square feet of exclusive hangar space at Signature Flight Support's full-service FBO facility.
The new facility, scheduled for completion in December 2020, complements Signature Flight Support's existing 80-acre footprint at the airport and will cater to the needs of Part 91 and Part 135 operators. Located at the southeast corner of the airfield, it will accommodate the latest ultra-long-range business jets and includes 7,000 square feet of office and shop space.
“We are excited to spearhead an effort that will not only enable Signature Flight Support to better serve business aviation's diverse needs, but refuel the economy and position business aviation industry to create more for high-skilled jobs in the community,” said Aeroplex/Aerolease Group president and CEO Curt Castagna. “With more than 40 years of experience developing airport and aviation facilities across the nation, we have brought together the best and brightest team of professionals to deliver this project efficiently and effectively.”
Aeroplex Group Partners, which will provide complete project development oversite and on-going property management services after completion, initiated the project. The project team also includes the design and architectural firm JRMA and construction firm Swinerton.
