Air-Glaciers is to merge with Air Zermatt after founder of Air-Glaciers Bruno Bagnoud retires on his 85th birthday. He will remain at the disposal of the company, which will have the opportunity to appoint him honorary president at its next general meeting.

The regional roots of the two companies in their home markets – Air-Glaciers mainly in central Valais and Bas-Valais, Air Zermatt AG mainly in Haut-Valais – will remain so. The respective boards of directors and management will also remain separate.

Bruno Bagnoud and Beat Perren, founders of the two companies, believe it is a unique opportunity to have joined the destinies of their companies. Their two companies each have more than 50 years of experience and have left their mark on the development of air rescue in Valais. With the merger, Air-Glaciers SA and Air Zermatt AG are acquiring the means to face the challenges of the next hundred years.
