McCreery safety culture moves to Stage II
After achieving IS-BAH Stage I, McCreery Aviation of McAllen, Texas set its sights on further improving its internal safety culture, by increasing safety awareness. Its diligence has led to Stage II approval.
McCreery wanted to push on to Stage II after successfully attaining Stage I.

Texas-based McCreery Aviation has been awarded IS-BAH Stage II status after completing a comprehensive safety audit.

In achieving a Stage II registration, McCreery effectively demonstrated that it has met IS-BAH safety standards, which ensures that safety management activities are operational and that safety risks are being effectively managed.

Located at the McAllen International airport, McCreery Aviation was founded in 1946 and is a full-service family own FBO that offers aircraft fuelling, maintenance, aircraft sales, avionics service and installation, charter and parts and operates a flight school.

“After achieving Stage I, we set our sights on further improving our internal safety culture by increasing safety awareness among all our stakeholder groups,” says president Bob McCreery. “This process has successfully helped us mitigate risks throughout our entire enterprise.”

IS-BAH was established through the efforts of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as a global code to identify and promote the use of industry best practices by means of a progressive safety management system (SMS) for both FBOs and business aircraft handling agencies (BAHA). It follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and the NATA Safety 1st ground audit programme.
