Austrian operator Goldeck-Flug recently invested in a Citation Latitude for European charter work. The aircraft is the first of its type to be flown in Austria.
“We are gradually renewing our fleet and are investing in new aircraft,” comments CEO Gerald Horn-Sachernegg. “In our opinion, the Latitude is perfectly suitable for the European market. It is a midsize business jet at the highest level, with good range, a spacious cabin and great performance for take-off and landing. We have been flying a lot in the first two months and the passengers as well as the crews love the aircraft.
“Whether it concerns charter, aircraft management or maintenance services, Goldeck-Flug offers customised solutions to suit all our customers’ demands. We are doing charter flights and owner flights as well as introducing our new private shared ownership programme.”
The Latitude offers a spacious and quiet cabin, strong short field performance and good range throughout Europe. With a width of 1.96 m, a height of 1.83 m, a continuously flat floor and ten windows, the jet has been receiving very positive feedback from Goldeck-Flug clients.
“We are planning on renewing our fleet further,” adds CEO Marcel Seybal. “The previous fleet consisted of Falcon 2000, Hawker 850XP and Citation Excels. We sold the Falcon as well as the Hawker.
“For the private shared ownership programme we already bought two PC-12NGs, and the first one is already flying. The second PC-12NG will be delivered in December. Both will also work under our AOC for commercial charter flights. We are also in the process of acquiring a PC-24 for private shared ownership (PSO), while for charter operations we are streamlining to Latitudes.”
The company often contends with mountainous terrain, short runways and challenging airports such as Innsbruck and Bolzano, and is specially approved for the lowest minimas in Innsbruck and Bolzano. It is in the process of obtaining the first Austrian SET IR AOC, in order to commence commercial flying on the PC-12 NGs. In addition, it established its PSO programme in the last 12 months, whereby the shared owner has his own private aircraft, but by sharing with others, the costs for the individuals are reduced and the aircraft is utilised for a greater percentage of the time.
Horn-Sachernegg is optimistic for the future: “We continually invest in advanced training and education of our employees and crew members in order to offer the highest quality and safety. The team around myself and Marcel is made up of experienced pilots, technicians and aviation experts.”
