BrazilWith an eye on the vistors who will come to Brazil for the Copa América 2019 football championship, Lider Aviacao has prepared a dedicated website (copa.lideraviacao.com.br) with information that can facilitate the arrival of football lovers as well as the business-focused audience that this type of event generates. The country has not hosted the tournament for 30 years.
According to a survey by technology and travel company Amadeus there has been a significant increase in demand for Brazilian destinations by countries participating in the games. Qatar and Japan, for example, the two invited to the event, saw increases in demand for Brazil of 75 and 73 per cent respectively.
"Events such as Copa América are responsible for a lot of movement at Brazilian airports, especially in the area of executive aviation. Many people come to the country with their own aircraft due to ease of travel, especially in a country of continental dimensions such as Brazil. It is a way to have more agility and convenience to enjoy more time in the host cities of the event, such as Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Salvador and Porto Alegre," comments Lider Aviacao director of airport handling Cynthia Oliveira.
To welcome those who come to the country and as a way to provide essential information to operate in Brazil, the website allows users to consult the match timetable, obtain airport information about the host cities and acquaint themselves with the company’s services at each of the locations.
Lider Aviacao is present in the largest airports in the country. It operates 20 FBOs and has unique expertise acquired during major events such as the World Cup and Rio 2016 Olympics, as well as cultural events such as Rock in Rio.
“Our experience in international ground handling has already marked us out as a leader, including six titles as the best FBO in Latin America according to a survey by Professional Pilot, one of the leading international publications on executive aviation," says Oliveira.
One of the differentials of the company is the service it offers at Antônio Carlos Jobim International airport (Galeão) in Rio de Janeiro. The hangar has an exclusive terminal for executive aviation and a complete infrastructure to receive passengers and crew, with exclusive parking, rest rooms, VIP lounges and conference and meeting rooms. In addition, the structure offers direct boarding and landing via the company hangar.
At all Líder bases, customers have access to a bilingual team trained to perform all security procedures and the company offers a coordinated 24/7 service that ensures attendance at any time.
In addition to airport services to serve the aircraft arriving in the country during Copa América, Lider Aviacao offers air taxi services to all cities that will host the games.
The company offers fans an app available on iOS and Android platforms that enables them to charter flights and carry out the entire purchase process through a smartphone, as well as checking and acquiring opportunities for empty legs, among other features. When accessing the platform, the customer can choose travel segment, aircraft model, commissioner and finalise the entire process by means of credit card payment, ensuring the flight reservation. The app is also able to monitor, in real-time, the location and availability of the Líder fleet.
At the beginning of the year Lider Aviacao was the first Brazilian air taxi company to reach the third and final stage of the IS-BAO certification, which certifies the quality and safety of executive aviation companies, as well as standardisation of its operations.
Lider Aviacao is the largest executive aviation company in Latin America. Founded 60 years ago, it has 1,000 employees and a fleet of more than 60 aircraft.
