Aerowest gains capabilities ahead of busy summer
Aerowest has added a second Citation Latitude to its fleet and has also achieved approval to carry dangerous goods. The Latitude has the same type rating as the Sovereign, allowing for straightforward crew transitions.
Aerowest sales manager Axel Klegien.

Aerowest, one of Germany's longest established executive operators, has received approval to carry dangerous goods. As well as operating passenger and ambulance flights with a fleet of eight jets and two turboprops, Aerowest also offers cargo and AOG part transportation and prides itself on getting aircraft in the air within one hour of confirmation, day or night. With dangerous goods approval, it hopes to expand this side of the business.

Later this summer the company will continue to modernise its fleet with a factory-new Cessna 680A Citation Latitude. Currently Aerowest's fleet includes four Citation Sovereigns and one Latitude operating from floating bases around Europe, and the operator anticipates a busy summer. Its first Latitude entered the fleet last year and is has proved popular with customers. “It was not a hard decision to add a second,” comments sales manager Axel Klegien. “As the Latitude requires the same type-rating as the Sovereign, the new addition to the fleet gives us more flexibility with our existing crews.”

Aerowest operates worldwide and regularly performs flights to Africa or across the Atlantic.
