CanadaCanadian handler Kreos Aviation has acquired the Shell AeroCentre at Saskatoon (John G Diefenbaker) and Regina International airports along with Lancaster Aviation Fuels, an off-airport fuel provider for the Saskatchewan region. Shell AeroCentre is a full service, branded FBO and aviation fuel supplier with 15,000 sq ft of hangar space at each location.
“With our steady growth, increased need for hangar space and our expansion to Regina, these Shell AeroCentre acquisitions check all the boxes,” says COO Wes Ramsay. “We have explored many options to support our growth and the Saskatoon and Regina locations kept rising to the top. We were determined to find a business that was recognised as a leader and more importantly shared our values and culture. We believe this is a great fit and we are very excited to have these Shell AeroCentre locations join our family.”
He continues: “Our company principals and employees have a long-lasting relationship with both Shell AeroCentre sites and former owner, Dennis Goll. We have always respected Dennis’ knowledge, wisdom and contribution to the growth of aviation in Saskatchewan.
“The acquisition is important as the demand for efficient and convenient air travel grows for many Saskatchewan-based businesses. This acquisition allows Kreos to have an immediate impact in the Regina market and add our services earlier than planned. By all accounts, both Shell AeroCentre locations have strong and progressive teams, which makes it easy to seize present and future opportunities.”
“We have a proud history of quality service and supply to the aviation industry in Saskatchewan,” says Shell Aviation, Americas regional operations manager Lyle Witkowicz. “We are pleased to welcome Kreos Aviation to the Shell AeroCentre network in Canada.”
Construction of a new FBO and hangar complex at the Regina International airport is slated for completion in July 2019.
