Germany's Air Hamburg has announced a five-year partnership with private jet mobile app JetSmarter, valued at $215 million. The alliance will give JetSmarter access to 25,000 hours of the operator's fleet including 4,000 empty leg hours across Europe and Russia.

“With its mobile technology, which offers quick and convenient access to luxury travel, JetSmarter is radically changing people's travel habits,” says Air Hamburg CEO Floris Helmers. “We are excited to be playing a key role in its mission to make private jets accessible to millions, and we looking forward to seeing how this partnership will develop in the future.”

Adds JetSmarter CEO Sergey Petrossov: “Air Hamburg's broad and strategic network, experienced aircraft management team and excellent fleet make it the perfect partner for delivering a seamless luxury travel experience. We are committed to democratising the private air travel industry and this partnership, which will boost our offering in Europe, allows our fast-growing user base to choose from a wider selection of destinations.”

JetSmarter forged a previous alliance with Austria's GlobeAir in 2014, providing access to Mustangs in Europe. The latest deal offers access to a fleet of Legacys and midsize Citations in Europe.
