Falcon 2000 expands Goldeck-Flug's horizons
Austria's Goldeck-Flug reports brisk demand for its Falcon 2000 acquired to meet passenger demand for comfortable long range aircraft.

Austria's Goldeck-Flug reports brisk demand for its Falcon 2000 acquired to meet passenger demand for comfortable long range aircraft. "Pilots like the aircraft system layout, the good landing field performance and the high maximum landing weight allowing more operational flexibility on flights with multiple legs," says Capt. Friedrich Pontasch, deputy flight operations manager.

He adds: "This was a logical step into heavy size segment enabling Goldeck-Flug to fit the increasing demand of their clients for a larger cabin and long range aircraft."

Goldeck-Flug, launched in 1991 with a Citation 501 and a Citation 560, now has a Citation Ultra, a Learjet 55, two Citation Excels, two Hawker 800XPs and a Bell 206 JetRanger in operation. "With the addition of the Falcon 2000, our fleet fits the need of our customers very well," says Pontasch. "The Falcon 2000 offers a quiet and comfortable cabin in a 10 passenger layout and a large baggage compartment. The aircraft will perform well in the increasing demand for flights to and from longer range destinations in Middle East, Russia, China and Africa."

The majority of the fleet is based at the Klagenfurt headquarters but Goldeck-Flug bases a Citation Excel and the Learjet 55 in Vienna. The Citation Ultra and the two Excels have a nine passenger layout and are mainly used within Europe.
