Austria's Avcon Jet, which plans to acquire a Learjet 45, Challenger 300, G-550 and Global 5000, has brought its second Citation Bravo into operation.
The company intends to increase its business jet fleet further to cover the whole spectrum of business aviation, from small to medium to large cabin. The seven-strong fleet now includes the CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3, the Bravos, an XLS and a Falcon 2000EX.
"The company is well-equipped for future expansion," says Esmeralda Fernandes de Sa, evp sales. "Over the coming years, Avcon Jet intends to continue investing consistently in the fleet. This business plan will ensure that the company and its partners will be even better equipped to exploit this niche market flexibly and successfully.
"The second Bravo is an immediate boost to the fleet. It is an eight-seater short range aircraft which will increase business charter flexibility for passengers within Europe. It combines cost-efficiency with access to smaller airports. Compared to the leading turboprop aircraft, the Bravo offers longer endurance and faster speed while using less fuel." Fernandes de Sa says other pluses include the Bravo's capability to climb up to 45,000 ft, its comfortable interior with pedestal-mounted swivel chairs, and a refreshment centre. "In addition, the aircraft is able to carry more than 800 lbs of luggage in its spacious baggage compartments,"
Fernandes de Sa adds. "Although the Citation Bravo is no longer on the production line of Cessna, it remains a popular business jet, due to its range, payload and spacious cabin." As well as charter, Avcon Jet provides aircraft sales and acquisition, financing, management and project consulting.
