Xclusive Jet reports rising demand for its seven-seater CJ2. The U.K. private charter and management company has moved into new offices at Southampton airport to facilitate expansion.
Steve Loveridge, md, says that demand in Xclusive Jet's immediate English south coast catchment area is buoyant with clients showing a decided preference for modern aircraft.
"The CJ2 typifies the company's moves into the younger operated aircraft, meeting athe requests of its longstanding client base who have been pressuring for newer, more efficient and cosmetically cleaner and tidier aircraft," says Loveridge. "There will be other similar types of aircraft entering service in the near future."
Details have still to be finalised but it is understood that Xclusive Jet is assessing the addition of a second CJ2, a CJ2+ and the likelihood of a mid-size jet entering service early in 2008. "Another Citation Bravo is on the cards," says Loveridge. "It is a question of moving with the times. All in all, younger aircraft were in the past synonymous with the 'classic' Citation IIs and older King Air types."
The CJ2 was operated privately for its owner while Xclusive Jet worked with the CAA to gain the public service AOC. "The owner can now achieve the typical revenue required," says Loveridge.
