Sertur Air, one of Turkey's biggest charter operators, promises that it will each year add newly-manufactured jets to its fleet. "Our third Hawker 850XP which is being delivered in December was manufactured in 2007," says Mahmut Serter, chairman, Sertur Air. "As well as our commitment to a modern fleet, I would like to emphasise that we are both owners and operators of our aircraft."
The third 850XP comes on stream in the same month that a Challenger 604 joins the charter fleet. In addition, Sertur Air operates a 400XP and two 850XPs. The 400XP, which takes five pass-engers, was manufactured in 2006 while one 850XP was manufactured in 2006 and the other in 2007.
"Our company is established solely on a commercial basis, therefore our aircraft are available for clients 99 per cent of the time and our in-house dispatch department enables us to provide quotes seven days a week," Serter says.
Sertur Air is building a large hangar at Istanbul Ataturk to accommodate client aircraft from the beginning of 2008. "The company is expanding by pursuing global developments while bearing in mind the necessity of having a fleet that is homogeneous and long range," says Serter.
Cabin crew were trained in TAG Aviation Switzerland. "We aim to continue to develop our reputation as one of the exceptional aviation companies conforming to international standards in Turkey and surrounding regions," Serter adds. "The Hawker range of aircraft offer unmatched quality, luxury and reliability for our customer base." Hawkers are well suited to the requirements of the business or private traveller in Turkey, he adds, pointing out that the widespread preference is for large, luxurious cabins, individually customised with a range and capabilities for non-stop travel anywhere in Europe and the Middle East.
