Switzerland's Dasnair, which has brought a new Falcon 7X into service, aims to keep its charter fleet at close to the "optimum" of
six aircraft. Remy Fourticq, deputy flight operations manager, says: "We are open to expanding our management of aircraft for corporate owners. But we are not going to grow the charter side too much more.
"We don't anticipate operating more than six aircraft as we believe this is the right size to maintain the company's staff spirit and personal service at the peak optimum level."
Fourticq adds: "We plan to operate a Falcon 2000LX next summer and another Falcon 7X for 2009. These are new and, except for the Falcon 900B, all of our fleet has a maximum age of four years."
Dasnair's fleet currently includes a Falcon 2000EX, a Falcon 900B, a Falcon 900EX EASy and the Falcon 7X.
"As with the other aircraft of the company, the 7X will fly worldwide for business and leisure for charter customers and demo flights for Dassault," Fourticq says. "The 7X was chosen for its long range capability and its incredible comfort for the passengers." There is a great deal of charter demand and Dasnair's Falcons are flying 90 hours a month on average, he says.
Dasnair, based in Geneva, has had an AOC for more than five years. It started with a Falcon 900EX and then a Falcon 50 (both now sold), before progressing to its current fleet.
