TAG Aviation Europe expects its managed fleet to rise to more than 70 aircraft by the end of 2007. Rob Wells, ceo of TAG Aviation Holding, says a major factor is increasing appreciation of the merits of business aircraft in Europe.
"The emerging wealth in Russia has obviously had a big impact," says Wells. "We are enjoying growth, particularly in eastern Europe."
TAG, which has bases in Madrid in Spain, Farnborough in the U.K., and Geneva in Switzerland, reports that aircraft sales are also increasing. "The managed fleet consists of more than a dozen types," says Wells.
He reports that TAG has enjoyed the equivalent of 100 per cent growth in business for two years.
Wells says that business at Farnborough has considerably increased so far in 2007 and adds
that traffic is on target for 23,000 movements this year.
