Why visit ACE ’25?
Dubai-based Eastern Skyjets, whose expansion plans include VLJs, has leased a Jetstream 41 from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft.
Eastern Skyjets has developed a reputation for being a highly skilled operator familiar with the difficulties of flying into areas such as Afghanistan and Iraq. "We do know how to organise and conduct civilian operations into hostile environments," says group business director Tariq Khan.
"The Jetstream 41 will fill a specific gap in the market. There is a current need for more modern and cost-effective forms of air transport within this rapidly developing region," he adds. "Currently the choice of aircraft available to the short sector traveller is somewhat restricted. The introduction of a younger fleet of low cost aircraft
will open the doors to new routes and sectors that have previously been untapped."
The 29 seat twin turboprop will primarily be used for shuttle services targeting international agencies, multinational corporates and the leisure market. "We will also use the aircraft to cater for the growing needs of the ad hoc air charter market," says Khan. "We already operate a mixed fleet of corporate and passenger jets and our future plans include expanding into a range of different market sectors including VLJs."
