Refurbished lounge boosts Harrods Aviation
Harrods Aviation at London Stansted reports good feedback to its recently refurbished lounge with free wireless internet. Marketing manager Fiona Robinson says Stansted's capacity to handle large numbers of passengers attracts corporate hospitality flights including during the Football World Cup, and generated extra traffic.

Marketing manager Fiona Robinson says Stansted's capacity to handle large numbers of passengers attracts corporate hospitality flights including during the Football World Cup, and generated extra traffic.

"To ensure the highest levels of service are maintained all customer service staff undergo refresher training which in 2006 for our Stansted staff included topics such as security check-in and the handling of dangerous goods," she adds. Harrods Aviation is capable of handling up to B747-400 aircraft. "The mix of aircraft types at this base has always been towards the larger airframes," she adds. "This means we can handle a good variety."
