MC Air Ltd. has added a new Diamond DA42 Twin Star to its fleet of rental aircraft. Martin Cadman, md, says: “We bought it because of the new technology in it, such as the twin screen digital graphical display which provide all the navigation and instrument data. “The other reason was its diesel engines. It is extremely economical, and has about one sixth of the running costs of a conventional twin. It is also nice to fly.” The aircraft is currently being dry-leased to Atlantic Flight Training who are using it to train commercial pilots at Coventry Airport. Cadman says: “They already own two of their own, this is an additional one. The range is about 1,000nm which means it you can fly anywhere in Europe non-stop.”
