Why visit ACE ’25?
Work has started on building a new business terminal at Bologna G.Marconi airport in Italy. The new complex will be dedicated to business aviation and will offer an air terminal, MROs and enough room for five business jets. The facility is owned by Terminal Aviazione Generale Srl (TAG), and is a joint venture between SAB - Bologna Airport managing company, and Sirio, one of Italy's leading business aviation companies. The new terminal will be a two-storey building with 1,100 sq.m. (650 sq.m. on the ground floor, and 450 sq.m. upstairs) and will have a waiting lounge, offices, a meeting room, retail shops, and a bar/restaurant , all exclusive to vip and business customers. The MROs will be able to house six Cessna 525s or two G550s. the hangar will be 1,930 sq.m., with additional space for shops, stores and technical offices. A further 100 sqm.m. office space will be available on the first floor. 17,000 sqm of tarmac will include parking for five business jets and will be linked to the main parallel taxi way. The terminal will cost 516 million euros and is being paid for by TAG. SAB are paying the 2,514 million euro bill for the taxi-way and tarmac. It is the first partnership in Italy between a business aviation company and an airport management company. Sirio is one of Bologna's most well known companies and currently owns 12 business jets and four helicopters.
