A group of businessmen based in Ireland has bought a Pilatus PC-12 for business trips to Europe. The purchase means the Bournemouth based Pilatus PC-12 distributor for the UK, Ireland and Spain is "sold out" for 2007 and is taking orders for 2008. Bob Berry, md of the Pilatus PC-12 Centre UK, said: "The manufacturer is building 100 a year but everything is sold to the end of 2007. We have sold our allocation and are taking orders for early 2008." Five have been sold into Spain. The latest aircraft sold in the UK and Ireland, the seventh, will be delivered in October this year. This delivery is to the group of businessmen based in the Republic of Ireland. The UK and Spanish PC-12 centres are Europe's top selling distributors of tthe PC-12. Berry says: "We actively encourage customers to build a close rapport through factory visits to Stans near Lucerne and become involved in the scheme design and interior fit out from the beginning of the order process." The nine-passenger seat Pilatus PC-12 was one of the largest executive aircraft on display at the AeroExpo exhibition held at Wycombe Air Park, High Wycombe.
