London Luton's Twinjet has added two Embraer Legacy aircraft to its management fleet. The company states that they are the first G-registered Legacys to be available for charter under a UK AOC.
"We are very excited and proud to add these aircraft to our managed fleet," said Stephen Wells, Twinjet Aircraft's commercial director. "They will complement our Airbus A319 and allow us to expand our client base into new areas.
"We believe that these aircraft will become increasingly popular with both the leisure and business markets, offering exceptional space and baggage capacity for the price."
Twinjet says it was chosen to manage the aircraft by the owners because of the company's reputation on safety and reliability, as well as its proven record of providing charter revenue to offset the costs of aircraft ownership.
The super mid-size jets have been configured with executive seating for 13, and feature two washrooms and a stand-up cabin, plus a baggage capacity of 30 pieces of standard luggage.
Twinjet anticipates that the aircraft will prove popular with the entertainment industry, as well as the leisure market. With a range of seven hours, the Legacys are expected to fly to destinations in Russia, North Africa and the Middle East.
