Why visit ACE ’25?
Jet Engineering Technical Support (JETS), the Hawker and Dornier 328 aircraft maintenance specialist, is opening a dedicated paint bay at its Southampton Airport, UK, base.
The 2,500 square metre facility is housed in a bay at the company’s hangar and can accommodate any business or regional aircraft up to the size of a Dornier 328.
The company has also gained approval from the UK’s CAA to perform base and line maintenance work on the Dornier 328 jet and turboprop under its EASA 145 licence. It says it is the only UK operator to hold such status, which complements approvals on the Hawker 125 family, including the Hawker XP.
JETS’ paint activity is lead by Tony Purvis who, with a team of three other paint specialists, will be carrying out work on the Dornier 328 turboprop which executive aircraft company Club328 acquired earlier this month. It will take about two weeks to be repainted in the operators blue and white colour scheme.
The company is authorised for paint work under its EASA Part 145 approvals. It uses and endorses Jet Glo Express exterior paint from Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings. Designed for business and regional aircraft, Purvis says that it offers outstanding weatherability, adhesion characteristics and chemical resistance.
