The Federal Civil Aviation Authority of Russia (FCAAR) has granted approval for Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) to perform maintenance on Russian-registered Bombardier business jets at its facility in Berlin.

Following an audit of the facility, Andrei Lyssykh, chief expert at the Russian Federal Flight Safety and Certification Centre, said: “Through our meetings with LBAS management and a thorough review of the facility’s aircraft maintenance procedures, we are confident that the highest standards for aircraft maintenance will be met.”

The approval also enables LBAS to perform line and base maintenance for all Russian registered Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft at other locations.

LBAS also operates a maintenance base in Franfurt.
