Canary Island-based aviation academy Canavia is preparing to take delivery of a Tecnam P2006T NG. The school already operates three multi-engine P2006T MkIIs and seven single-engine Tecnam P2008JC MkIIs 365 days a year, providing high level training to over 140 students.
The P2006T NG is the latest version of the P2006T, one of the smartest twin engine aircraft on the market today, offering value and innovative design with a modern Garmin avionics suite, integrating all primary flight, navigation, communication and terrain data on two high-definition LCDs. The aircraft is also equipped with two-axis autopilot, for the most efficient MEP complex training.
Fitted with two Rotax 912iSc3 injected engines, the Tecnam P2006T exhibits fuel savings and can be operated on Avgas and Mogas fuel, offering high level training for multi-engine, variable pitch and retractable landing gear ratings. The advanced avionic system offers VFR/ VFR night, MEP, IR and PBN (LNAV/VNAV and LPV).
Mario Pons, Canavia CEO, airline pilot on the B737, says: “To provide excellence to our ATPL student pilots in the Canary Islands, Canavia had just ordered the new P2006T NG from Tecnam, completing its fleet of three P2006T and seven P2008 MkII maintained by our approved service centre.”
“We are very proud to have Canavia as one of the major flight schools using our modern fleet solution. Together we are innovating flight training in Europe and offering students and airlines the highest standard of training,” adds Walter Da Costa, Tecnam chief sales officer.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to serve Canavia and are delighted that it has chosen to do business with us. We look forward to continuing to build a long-term relationship with Canavia and to serving it with the same level of excellence and dedication that it deserves,” states Tecnam's Spanish dealer, Alvaro Lapetra.
Tradition, innovation and vision; these factors are taking Tecnam to new horizons. Based on recent data and industry benchmarks, Tecnam offers the greenest training fleet in the world. Flight schools using Tecnam's single and twin engine fleet can save up to 10 tonnes of CO2 emissions for each student who completes a Commercial Pilot Licence, representing a 60 per cent reduction compared to a fleet using 100LL fuel across 155 flight hours, including 30 hours in a twin.
