China-based operator Sino Jet has officially commenced operations at its Middle East international headquarters. This marks not only the successful entry of a Chinese business aviation company into the Middle Eastern market but underscores the company’s robust growth in the global aviation industry.
Sino Jet has long embraced what it calls an ‘accompanying strategy’, which means being present wherever its clients are. In recent years, the sustained economic growth of the Middle East and global capital’s strong interest in the region have led to rising demand for business jet flights. According to statistics, China’s direct investment in the Middle East has surpassed $20 billion over the last 10 years. By 2022, trade between China and Middle Eastern countries exceeded $500 billion, and for several years in a row China has held the title of the Middle East’s largest trading partner.
Sino Jet has been building a robust network of local service resources and partnerships, garnering significant support from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. For Chinese enterprises, the establishment of its Middle East international headquarters will facilitate overseas expansion and continue to create value. Leveraging the advantages of a local operations team in language proficiency, cultural understanding, quick response and resource integration, Sino Jet will offer clients a more efficient and personalised business jet service experience.
The head of Sino Jet’s international headquarters says: “This heralds a new era in Sino Jet’s globalisation strategy. We look forward to using this new platform to not only provide global clients with a more exceptional and personalised service experience but also to build a new era of the ‘silk road in the sky’, facilitating trade and cultural exchanges between countries and creating boundless business opportunities.”
The move is also said to be a demonstration of Sino Jet’s understanding of development trends in the global aviation market. Looking ahead, it plans to leverage the Middle East international headquarters to actively explore innovative business models, expand service offerings and meet the growing and diverse needs of clients more flexibly and diversely.
Honeywell is set to expand its collaboration with the operator in areas such as aviation services and new technology development.
Honeywell has already provided datalink subscription, navigation and terrain databases, and other connected services for Sino Jet’s fleet, along with extensive cooperation on aftermarket parts support. The two companies now plan to deepen cooperation in next-generation connectivity technologies such as Honeywell’s high speed JetWave X satcom system, providing customers with unprecedented coverage and data speeds by leveraging Viasat’s Ka-band network, which includes ViaSat-3 and Global Xpress satellites. The system enables access to speeds that exceed increasing passenger demands and the data-hungry applications of the future, with typical speeds consistently greater than 30Mbps and as high as 100Mbps, even in the busiest flight corridors. JetWave X is easy to install and provides the flexibility to connect to any Viasat Ka-band satellite.
“At Sino Jet, we believe that innovation is the key driver behind our business growth and the digital transformation of the business aviation industry,” says international president Chris Wu. “The advanced connectivity technologies and solutions provided by Honeywell have greatly benefited our clients, offering them significant convenience and value. We are eager to collaborate on the upcoming next-generation JetWave X satellite communication system.”
“Staying connected is critical to flight safety and efficiency. Honeywell’s satellite communications systems provide operators, passengers and crew with reliable, consistent connectivity throughout the world,” says Jason Wissink, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies vice president and general manager, services and connectivity. “We are honoured to further deepen our collaboration with Sino Jet.”
