Qatar Executive innovates with Starlink and safety enhancements
The company has made significant updates to its fleet with the integration of Starlink satellite internet and the MedAire360 safety system.
Passengers will be able to stream movies and tv shows, watch live sports and work uninterrupted while flying at 45,000ft.

Qatar Executive, the private jet charter division of Qatar Airways, has unveiled a series of innovations as part of its continued project of expansion and modernisation.

By May 2025, the company will equip the first of its Gulfstream G650ER fleet with Starlink’s high speed internet service, with plans to roll out the technology across its full Gulfstream fleet over the next 18 months. Starlink connectivity will allow passengers to access wi-fi speeds of up to 350 megabits per second, enabling activities such as streaming, video calls and uninterrupted work during flights.

Qatar Airways’ group chief executive officer Badr Mohammed Al-Meer says: “Qatar Executive continues to redefine the future of private aviation. The integration of Starlink technology represents our vision for seamless connectivity that meets the expectations of our global clientele. This innovation further enhances our position as a leading provider in the ultra long range business jet branded charter market, ensuring that every journey with Qatar Executive is exceptional.”

In addition, the company has incorporated the MedAire360 safety and support system across its fleet, including its newly acquired Gulfstream G700. MedAire360 offers real-time access to medical expertise and security intelligence, designed to assist passengers and crew during inflight emergencies. The system also provides access to a dedicated Aviation Security Portal, which delivers up-to-date security information.

MedAire, the company behind MedAire360, has worked with Qatar Executive to ensure that the system is fully integrated into the airline’s operations, creating a system that is designed to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of Qatar Executive’s fleet.

“We are honoured to support Qatar Executive as it continues to set high standards in aviation safety and service,” says Peter Tuggey, managing director for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at MedAire. “MedAire360 represents the next generation of medical and security support for the aviation industry, seamlessly integrating our latest technology with our top-tier medical and security experts to enhance the passenger experience across Qatar Executive’s fleet.”

At the MEBAA 2024 event, Qatar Executive showcased its anticipated new Gulfstream G700, the latest expansion to its fleet of long range, state-of-the-art luxury aircraft. The G700 will benefit from the full integration of Starlink and MedAire360.
