Metrojet transitions leadership at new year
The Hong Kong-based aviation company is preparing for a CEO change, with Dave Yip stepping in as successor to the retiring Gary Dolski.
Metrojet has appointed Dave Yip as the acting CEO.

Hong Kong-based Metrojet Limited has confirmed the retirement of its CEO, Gary Dolski, effective January 1, 2025.

Dolski has been with Metrojet since April 2017, first serving as managing director of aircraft management and charter, before being appointed as CEO in September 2017.

Significant milestones during his eight year tenure include overseeing the development of the new Metrojet Engineering Clark maintenance and hangar parking facility in Clark, Philippines, and expanding Metrojet’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations in both Hong Kong and Clark. He successfully guided the company through the Covid pandemic, industry downturns, and ongoing geopolitical turmoil.

Starting January 1, 2025, Dave Yip, Metrojet's current chief operating officer, will assume the role of acting CEO. Yip brings over 20 years of management experience to the role, in both commercial and business aviation. His knowledge in aircraft management and maintenance, combined with strong leadership abilities, makes him well-suited to steer Metrojet into its next stage of growth and innovation.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to Gary for his eight years of excellent service and are excited to welcome Dave to his new role," says David Tong, vice chairman of Metrojet. "Dave's expertise and vision will be instrumental as we continue to expand our services and deliver exceptional value to our aircraft management and maintenance clients."
