Jung Sky, a Zagreb, Croatia based a business aviation operator, has celebrated its 15th anniversary.
Founded in 2009 with only a few staff and a single Cessna 172 for panoramic flights, the company has since significantly expanded its operations. Today, Jung Sky employs 25 people, including seven pilots, and has two Cessna 525A CJ2 jets in its fleet.
The operator now performs between 1,400 and 1,500 flights per year, landing at more than 200 airports across Europe, and is contracted by more than 200 different broker companies around the world.
"Jung Sky is a highly respected brand in the business aviation industry. That's not me doing marketing; it's feedback we're continuously receiving from our clients," says Capt. Kresimir Jung, the company's co-founder and one of Jung Sky's captains. "Our mission is to be proud of the service we provide and to be the company everyone loves working with. I think we've had success in achieving that, and it's something everyone in the company takes great pride in."
Figures suggest 2024 will be the company’s strongest year so far. From January to October, its sales department received a total of 76,430 inquiries through the Avinode platform, which is a 6.6 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
During those months in 2024, the company performed a total of 619 passenger flights, representing a 20 percent increase from the average achieved in the same perod from 2018 to 2023. The flight-time of passenger flights in the first 10 months of 2024 also superseded the previous year's by 0.5 percent, even though for around three months in 2023 the company had one more jet in its fleet. Compared to the first 10 months of 2022, when the jet count equalled to what it is today, passenger flight time this year has so far grown by 15.4 percent.
"I am proud of the fact that throughout these 15 years and despite all the difficulties we have faced, the company has achieved continuous growth and progress," says co-founder and IT manager Vedran Jung. "I am also very proud that everyone in our company, from top to bottom, are insisting on continuous efforts to improve the quality of our service even more, despite the very high bar set from the very beginning."
