Milestone adds new framework to Safran agreement
The agreement streamlines the transfer of helicopters, brings added value to Milestone’s activities and its Safran-powered fleet, as well as reinforcing Safran’s by-the-hour services.
Safran Helicopter Engines CEO Cédric Goubet and Milestone CEO Pat Sheedy.

The Milestone Aviation Group has signed a framework agreement with Safran Helicopter Engines that aims to simplify the transition of Safran-powered aircraft between lessees and ensure Milestone has access to best-in-class asset management services. As part of the agreement, Milestone will continue to promote Safran’s support-by-the-hour programme to its lessees, which protects residual value, controls engine maintenance costs, eliminates cash peaks and offers a wide variety of technical expertise options.

CEO Pat Sheedy says: “For more than a decade, Milestone and Safran Helicopter Engines have worked closely, and this agreement further strengthens the partnership between our two companies. We look forward to building on this relationship, made possible through this first-of-its-kind agreement.”

Cédric Goubet, CEO of Safran Helicopter Engines, adds: “We are delighted with this increasingly solid relationship with Milestone, a major lessor in the helicopter industry. This agreement will streamline the transfer of helicopters, bring a great deal of added value to Milestone’s activities and support its Safran-powered fleet, as well as reinforce our by-the-hour services in direct support of the end-users.”
