UK-based lessor and consultant ACC Aviation has launched its Carbon Reduction Plan, marking a new chapter in the company's environmental journey. Developed in collaboration with leading sustainable advisory firm Positive Planet, the initiative showcases ACC Aviation's dedication to creating positive environmental change across the aviation sector.

The comprehensive plan builds on ACC Aviation's established commitment to environmental stewardship and outlines meaningful action throughout 2025 and beyond. This strategic approach not only addresses the company's own environmental impact but also responds to the growing demand from clients for more sustainable aviation solutions.

At the heart of this new strategy is the development of a Sustainable Procurement Policy that will prioritise suppliers demonstrating strong environmental credentials and clear progress toward Net Zero targets. The company is implementing effective methods for tracking supplier emissions, supporting greater environmental accountability in aviation services.

Travel practices are getting a green makeover too, with ACC Aviation introducing a new Sustainable Travel Policy. This forward-looking initiative will improve how staff approach business travel, encouraging low-carbon alternatives and supporting smarter travel choices. The company is also enhancing its digital capabilities with expense reporting systems to track and celebrate progress in reducing travel emissions.

Environmental awareness and education form another crucial pillar of the plan. Building on the success of Carbon Literacy training previously provided to its green team, ACC Aviation will extend this valuable education to all employees across the organisation. This expansion represents a significant investment in building a company-wide culture of environmental awareness and positive change.

To ensure effective implementation of these initiatives, ACC Aviation is fostering collaborative problem-solving through regular staff Town Hall meetings. These engaging sessions will bring together team members to develop practical ideas for sustainable work practices, from effective commuting solutions to efficient operational improvements.

ACC Aviation is taking a thorough approach to improving its office spaces, conducting a detailed sustainability survey of office managers to identify opportunities for positive change. The company is also actively engaging with the wider environmental community through participation in non-profit events, sharing knowledge and contributing to industry progress.

Phil Mathews, CEO of ACC Aviation, shares: “We're incredibly excited to launch this comprehensive Carbon Reduction Plan. It represents our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and our vision for the future of aviation services. Through these innovative initiatives, we're not just adapting to change – we're helping to lead it.”
