Ascent Helicopters, a provider of aerial services based in British Columbia, Canada has expanded its operations across Western Canada by adding seven AW169s to its extensive fleet of Bell, MD and Airbus aircraft. The new helicopters will be deployed in helicopter emergency medical services across several key locations in British Columbia, significantly enhancing emergency response capabilities in the region. The expansion also includes the development of new facilities and hangars to support these operations.

It has also placed an order to outfit its pilots with advanced protective garments from Auk Protection, enhancing their comfort and safety during critical missions.

Auk Protection's garments will play a crucial role in safeguarding our pilots as they undertake life-saving missions,” says chief pilot Chad Friesen. “Their combination of protection and comfort aligns perfectly with our operational needs, and we look forward to outfitting our team with this high-quality gear.”

Auk Protection is proud to partner with Ascent Helicopters, a company that shares our commitment to safety and performance,” adds founder Johan Baumann. “Our garments are specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of aerial operations, ensuring pilots are protected and comfortable in all conditions.”
