Ditmeyer takes over maintenance at West Star Chattanooga
As director of maintenance, Michael Ditmeyer will oversee all maintenance programmes, ensuring project flow and work processes align with customer expectations.

US MRO specialist West Star Aviation has promoted Michael Ditmeyer to director of maintenance at its Lovell Field facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He will oversee all maintenance programmes, ensuring project flow and work processes align with customer expectations.

Ditmeyer has over 32 years of aviation experience. He started his career in the US Air Force working on B52 Bombers. After his discharge he obtained his A&P licence. He has previously worked with several regional airline carriers as well as at Gulfstream as a senior operations manager. Ditmeyer joined West Star in 2019 as Gulfstream programme manager, later achieving the post of Gulfstream programmes director in 2023 after the opening of its new Gulfstream hangar.

“We are excited to see the impact Mike will make in his new role and look forward to the continued success he will bring to our team,” says Chattanooga general manager Steve Goede.
