Maltese operator Luxwing is flying a fully refurbished Gulfstream G200 for charter, and has seen strong uptake on requests. The company also owns two Dash 8 aircraft. Chief commercial officer and ground ops manager Daniele Guida comments: “We are continuing to grow. We have the two Dash 8 completely managed and owned by us, and we plan to take another one or two; this is our plan for the future. We have extended our licence and we are flying a Gulfstream G200 too, which has been fully refurbished inside and out. We are flying a lot of charter requests on that one. This winter we will refurbish the rest of our fleet.

“The G200 is a lovely aircraft. The owner has had the interior done by a top fashion house and it is very nice. It is often in Spain and round the rest of Europe.”

Luxwing has relocated into a larger office in Malta, and it is happy with the space. Guida says that employees are content. He concludes: “We have hired personnel in operations and engineering, and administration too. We are working to further increase our executive and charter fleet. We should have more good news by the end of the year.”
